Laurel V. Hinds

Age 101, died October 28, 2007, at Milton Healthcare. Born, raised and educated in Barbados, West Indies, she was the wife of the late Frederick M. Hinds and had resided with her family in Brockton and Hyde Park for the past 30 years. She was a longtime communicant of Saint Paul's Parish in Brockton, enjoyed knitting, crocheting and singing but most of all her family. She is survived by three daughters Philippa Maynard of Brockton, Dorothy White and her husband Pablo of Hyde Park, Erlene Hinds of Hyde Park, two sons James Hinds and his wife Patricia of E. Bridgewater and Lindsay Hinds of Randolph; six grandchildren David Maynard and his wife Tanya Rhen, Geoffrey Maynard, Antoinette Hinds and her husband Glen Duncan, Patrick Hinds, David Gill and Ronnie Champagne and his wife Jodie; two great grandchildren Glenn Duncan and Patrick Hinds, Jr., one brother Patrick Forde of CT, one sister Omi Forde of Barbados and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ina Forde, Viola Bolden, Mitalene Taylor and Agnetha Forde all of Barbados. Funeral Service in Saint Paul's Parish, 701 Pleasant St., Brockton, Sunday at 3pm. Burial Monday in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Saturday 5-8pm in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) BROCKTON.
