Happy Father's Day Dad! I wish you were here so I could tell you in person. I miss you bunches! I asked Derek this morning what kind of cake he wanted for Father's day and it was almost like I was asking you. He requested pineapple upside down cake. Been married to him for 17 years and he has never requested that...

The boys are doing well. Derek has his license and a girlfriend. Seems like yesterday, he was learning to walk. Coleton is good. Growing like a weed. He is bound to catch up to Derek any day now. Both are taller than me (not too hard to do). Coleton has his braces on, all we are waiting for now is more teeth to grow. He will be going to Central Catholic next year for High School, couldn't do 2 at Methuen High. I hope they both have a bit of you in them. At least that way I know they will always be respectful.

Watch over them and give a nudge every once in a while if necessary.

On this day, like every other, you are quietly remembered with love! Missing you always, Michelle

Dad fathers day is this weekend. I miss you everyday. We used to spend almost everynight together eating dinner, watching tv. I still watch American Idol and House because of you but its not the same without you. I still think of you everyday and miss you as much. I think back to the days before you went into the hospital looking to see what I missed to see how I could have prevented this. It breaks my heart that you had to leave us then, I wasn't ready. A lot has happened in my life since you left, I only hope you can see some of it from where you are and I am making you proud. Jake is with me now, he is such a strong young man. Hannah is finding her own voice as well just slower than Jake, she is beautiful and smart and driving. David and Shawn are ok, they are with me and have just kept trucking along. The family as a whole is well, we are all a little worried about steven but he is strong. Ceil has a little girl coming in about 4 weeks maybe sooner. Little Derek has his license and Hannah has her permit! Crazy stuff. I am sorry I let you down, just know I am working very hard to never do that again. I am sorry I didn't see you were sick before it was too late. I am sorry you won't be here this father's day to celebrate with us! I will be thinking of you and all you have done for me in my life. With a love that will never forget, Michael...

DAD
Today is your birthday
but you are not her to celebrate
due to an unfortunate twist of fate
But you are now with your one and only soulmate
I miss you every single day
and there is so much I want to say
I hope you are proud as you watch over us all
I can feel your presence and that is the greatest gift of all
I have so many memories that flash in my mind
words to explain them I acn not find
Your light in my heart will always shine
And I hope that you will always be there to pick me up when I am down
and make me smile instead of frown
Today is YOUR day
and I will remember you in my own special way
with these tears in my eyes
I hope my thoughts travel to you in the heavenly skies

Love and remembrance always
Ceil

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To lose both parents in a little over a year is a very difficult thing. My father was my hero. He saved me so many times in my life always putting me first without question. I have struggled at times and he has been there to guide me and to kick me when I needed it. I could write a book here but what it comes down to is I will miss this man, my father everday for the rest of my life. I will think of him daily, I will talk to him when I need guidance and I will cry when the pain of missing him has become to much. Last night I sat on his bed wishing he could be there still sleeping, or watching tv and playing with his cats. My parents created a wonderful life together and out of that they have created a large and wonderful family. They have taught us all how to love and be there for each other. I will miss them both but I am thankful for what they left behind and the memories that I will have forever. Dad, I love you forever and I hope I get to be half the father to my children that you were to me. I know your happy to be with mom now, but I miss you so very much.... I hope you knew how much I loved you..... Always and Forever
Michael
