Mary Fandel Obituary

FANDEL, Mary L. (Walsh)_79, of Windsor, formerly of Stamford, beloved wife of Joseph W. Fandel, passed away Sunday (November 4, 2007) at Windsor Rehabilitation Center. Born in Malden, MA, daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Dingle) Walsh, she grew up in Malden and lived in Stamford for 30 years before moving to Windsor 10 years ago. Mary was a registered nurse. Besides her husband she leaves a son, William Fandel of Salem, MA; two daughters, Mary and her husband Richard Reid of Windsor; Suzanne Fandel and her husband John Cutrone of Ridgefield; five grandchildren, Todd and his wife Colleen Bergstrom; Michael Strout, Frederick Strout, Jr., Daniel Reid and Christopher Reid and three great grandchildren; Emily, Katie, and Abby Bergstrom. She also leaves a brother, Lt. Col. John J. Walsh and his wife Nancy of Melbourne, FL and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday, November 7 at 10:15 am from the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Gabriel Church in Windsor. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Poquonock. Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception Shelter Hartford, c/o St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad Street, Windsor, Ct. 06095.
