Kenneth Callahan Obituary

Age 55, a Dorchester native and 25 year resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Nov. 3, 2007 at his home following a long illness. Born in Boston, July 10th, 1952. Son of the late Lorraine Callahan Motroni, and step-son of the late Caesar Motroni. He was employed at the Bedford VA Hospital as Transportation & Livery Driver. He was also self-employed and owned & operated a carpet cleaning business, and also operated an online merchandising business. Ken volunteered as a driver & transporter for the elderly, and the Meals on Wheels Program at St. Michael's Church in Lowell. He is survived by his former spouse, Cheryl F. (Braxten) Callahan of Lowell; two brothers: James Callahan of North Weymouth, and Richard Motroni of NC; a nephew, Michael Callahan of NY; a niece, Vivian Sellbach of Poland; also several cousins. Services: Kenneth Callahan, age 55: Visiting Hours and Service to take place on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the M.R. Laurin & Son Funeral Home, 295 Pawtucket St., LOWELL from 1:00 until 4:00 pm, with a prayer service to begin at 4:00 pm. At his request, cremation to follow services. Funeral Directors M. Kenny was a great guy and I will surely miss him, especially on Thanksgiving. We had many nice dinners together. I am thankful to have had him as a cousin and a friend.
