Dear Susanne, Bob, Kitty and Family,
Susanne, I don't expect you to remember me but I know I have met you several times at Bob and Kitty's here on Fishers Island. I just want you to know that, as I recall those times, I also recall George's pleasant smile and unassuming manner. He was a fine man and of a congenial spirit. Your loss is your very own and I would never try to imagine it-I simply offer prayers for peace to you and your family and for George's soul.
Bob and Kitty have been there for many through trials and tribulations and they have been such good friends to me and my son, Christian. Through them and their friendship, I wish you strength and send you prayers that you will find a path that is comforting for you.
Most lovingly,
Nina Schmid

Certainly, this is a time no one is prepared for. I can only offer you my friendship, prayers and suppor. Please know that I am here for you now and in the future as you travel this path and make this journey.
In hearing that you will be on the island this weekend, may I respectfully request that I pay a call to offer you strength and whatever else you may need. Know that I am holding you close in spirit.

To Sue and children and all the Sturgis family,
Our hearts go out to you at this very difficult time. There are no words to express our sadness over George's passing. Be assured of our prayers for the repose of his soul, and for God's comforting presence for all of his wonderful family.

Susanne and the Strugis family,
I worked with George at the Citgo back in 1986 while in high school. George was a great man and I was happy to have him as a friend since 1986. I am very sorry to hear of George's death and would like to offer my condolensces to the entire family. I am sure George will be sorely missed.
