Marie Ryder Obituary

74, of Northwest Main St., Douglas, died Tues. Nov. 6, at her home. She is survived by 4 sons Kenneth Plante and his wife Kathleen of Chelmsford, Randell Plante and his wife Helen of Watertown, David Plante of Pepperell and Michael Majeau and his wife Susan of Whitinsville; 3 daughters Donna and her husband Ihladdio Rivera of Texas, Lisa and her husband David Stowell of Dennis and Christine and her husband John Hurley with whom she lived; 25 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 sisters Cecilia and her husband Ernest Racicot of Whitinsville, Gloria and her husband George Palace of Whitinsville and Helen Chamberlain of Upton; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her son Steven Majeau; her grandson Joshua Geary; her brother William St. Martin and her sister Virginia Viera. Born in Uxbridge, on Jan. 3, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Delor Adelor and Marion (Demers) St. Martin and has lived in Douglas for the past 12 years previously living in Marlborough for 27 years. She was a member of St. Denis Church, the Catholic Women's Council, Council on Aging and she was the Senior Regent in the Moose Lodge in Marlboro. She volunteered at the Douglas Senior Center and at Marlborough Hospital for many years. Her funeral will be held Fri. Nov. 9 from the Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., DOUGLAS, with a Mass at 11 AM in St. Denis Church, 23 Manchaug Rd., Douglas. Burial will follow at St. Denis Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home in Douglas will be held Thurs., Nov. 8 from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in Marie's memory may be made to Milford Regional Medical Center (Cancer Center) 14 Prospect St., Milford, MA 01757 or VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
