James Connell Obituary

91, of Worcester, formerly of Sturbridge and Lexington, died Monday, November 5th. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth J. (Fitzgerald) Connell; 3 sons James P. Connell of Cincinnati, OH, Gerald M. Connell of Plainfield, MA and Brian J. Connell of Medford; 3 daughters, Ann C. Bergin of Amherst, NH, Celine C. Lasonde of East Longmeadow and Elizabeth H. Connell of Worcester; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was born in Boston the son of James B. and Mary (Sullivan) Connell and had worked from 1944 until 1967 in advertising sales for the former Boston Herald Traveler. He later became involved in real estate development; after which he founded a construction materials company. The Funeral is Thursday with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 43 Belmont Street, Worcester. Burial Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Thomas Cemetery, W. Springfield, MA. Visitation is Thursday from 9:00 until 10:30 AM in O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, WORCESTER. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, the National MS Society, or the Jewish Healthcare Center of Worcester. oconnorbrothers.com
