My sister Maureen said it all very well. Just hearing that your Mom passed away brought a swell of memories. One in particular is when Jay pierced my ears with ice cubes, a sewing needle and thread..when both our Mom's found out at first they were wild and then your mother brought out the ruler to see if they were even! I can still see both of them in hysterics over their coffee that day discussing their 2 oldest's sense of judgement and Jay's sewing skills! The holes are still in my ears one slightly higher than the other and the memory is still a great one. Our fondest thoughts go to all the Travers kids from the Joyce kids...

Some people’s memory that you experience as a child seems to loom bigger than life. As a child I imagined if there was ever anything contagious in the Garth Road neighborhood to catch, I hoped it would be your mother’s sense of energy, fun and beauty. We are all very sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss. Now that I am a parent myself, my appreciation for your Mom is greater . What an amazing job she did raising all of you. No small feat. I mostly appreciate the fact that she didn't take my life after Jennifer and I took off across the country on my motorcycle when we were 19! In retrospect-- that would have been my reaction.
Now she gets to sing with the angels..
Peace..

Dear Travers Family -
We wish to extend our condolences on the passing of your mother. We have many fond memories of Garfield Rd and trips to the cottage. Not only did Paul and myself have many, many fun, humourous memories of your Mum. She managed to bring our late mother, Mary even more joy and laughter.
She will be sorely missed. Our condolences on your sad loss.
