To the Family of Ed Getman,

My father Leo Sontag worked in the same building as Mr. Getman and they were friends. Though my father is an attorney, in recent years he would ask Mr. Getman to review his tax returns. In the last couple of years, Mr. Getman completely prepared my parents' taxes and assisted me greatly in helping to manage their fianancial affairs. I know that my father respected and trusted him and I did as well. (I always called him Mr.Getman.) We will be bereft of his assitance. Please accept our condolences.

Sandy,
I used to work at Sherrill House and Eddie used to come in at least every 3 months to drive us crazy. I haven't been there for a few years but I did stay in touch with him via email. I was so saddened when I learned of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sandy & Family,
Please accept my sincerest condolences. Ed has been a very special part of my life without whom I wouldn't be where I am today. He always took a keen interest in my progress and took pride in my career in that he was the one who started me in the accounting business. Words cannot describe the special bond we developed throughout the years.

Sandy,
Herb and I were deeply saddened to hear of Ed's passing.I stopped by the office about a month ago to sign a document and we chatted about family and grandchildren. Ed was an honest and kind human being.
He was proud of his family. Our relationship has spanned several decades and during that time, Ed has always been professional and a pleasure. We will miss him. May you and your family be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together.
