I was so saddened to hear that Uncle Marty had passed away. I guess he's the last of that generation in the Brunick family. I used to love visiting the Dimeos and their big house in Melrose. I guess it was when Aunt Claire was in the hospital having the twins that I was volunteered to babysit the ones who were home. I think it was around the 4th of July and we drove somewhere on the North Shore to a farm owned by a relative of Marty.
I watched while they cut the head off a chicken and remember it still running around without a head!! It later appeared on the dinner table along with SOOOOOO MUCH FOOD!! They said I was too skinny and had to eat. Spaghetti at our house was the Wed night meal! At their house it was an "appetizer" What an experience for a "city girl"!! Such good and fond memories. I wish I had seen him in later years. It's been so long since I've seen most of you and maybe I'll get to see you at Jeannette's party this summer.
My prayers are with you all and Marty of course.
God bless,
Mary Jane Condon Bohlen

To All My Cousins,
I was shocked today, hearing that Uncle Marty had passed away. I wish we had known so we could have paid our respects to him and to express our sorrow to all of you. I will miss his bright smiling face and how he would always tweek my nose when I saw him. He will be sadly missed and in my heart forever. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
Love, Cousin Maureen

Mr. DiMeo,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation-God knows what you had to go through as a Prisoner of War. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
