Dear Tom,
I just learned that your father is gone. I am so sorry. I wish I was there for you. If I had known, I would have come to the funeral. Although I never met him, I know that he must have been a good man and father, since he has such a wonderful son. You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. Please accept my sympathy. Love, Linda
