It is with deep sadness that I sent this note to Al's family. I grew up with Al and his sister, Carol, in Mattapoisett. I send hugs and deepest sympathy to all of you.

I note with sadness the passing of my classmate of nine years at Center School in Mattapoisett. Albert was affectionately nicknamed "Leek" by his buddies and he always stood out in class photos as a most handsome and affable person. My sincere sympathy on your loss.
