Kenneth Mechan Obituary

Of Orleans, MA, formerly of Charlestown, MA. Nov. 11, 2007 85. Husband of the late Margaret (Holmes) Mechan. Survived by his brother in law, Thomas Holmes and his wife Carol of Hudson; 2 brothers, Elmer Mechan and his wife Donna of S. Weymouth, Robert Mechan and his wife Mary of Charlestown; 2 godchildren, Ruth (Holmes) Kennedy of San Diego, CA, Andrew Flynn of Burlington, NJ and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Born in Boston, son of the late Elmer and Margaret (Kane) Mechan. Served in U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Owned and operated a beauty salon at Temple Place in Boston for many years. Member of The Captains Golf Course in Orleans, and Oak Wood C.C. in Lake Wales, FL. His funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 with a funeral mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joan of Arc Church, 61 Canal Rd., Orleans, MA. Calling hours will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Friday, Nov. 16 at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com) 50 Central St. (on Rt. 62, exit 26 off 495) HUDSON MA.

Mr. Mechan,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
