Ricky you were the love of my life. We may not have had a lifetime to love but we had a love that most don't find in a lifetime. You were not only my husband you were my best friend. Always together even when we were apart. Everyone should be blessed with a love as special as ours. You will be forever alive in my heart. What joy you brought to my life and to my family which you accepted and loved as you did your own. I miss you more and more with each passing day and I thank you for loving me. My life will never be the same without you...
And to all those that had such wonderful things to say and memories to share I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You will be remembered forever.
All my love, Sharon

The pain is still so strong and it is just not fair. Keep an eye out for all of us!

Rick Nee was a loyal, hardworking and humble man with intense love for his family and friends. It was my honor to be his colleague in the 90's at BAX. The poignant expressions in this guest book are such a beautiful reflection of Rick that I can only add how humbled I am to have known him. May God bless the Nee family in this time of sorrow.

So sorry for the sudden loss. God works in funny
ways, I don't think any of us can figure it out. You have to believe we

Uncle Rick, AKA MUNDO~ my godfather, my uncle, my dear friend. How do we begin to put one step in front of the other and try to move on without you? Your infectious laughter and smile radiated throughout the room, but your kind and loyal heart is what made you who you are. You are my father's very best friend, always there to lend a helping hand, a pep talk, a voice of reason or even the voice of opposition. Who else would step up in the bitter cold and scrub the trucks with my dad? He called on you...
You were the one to bail me out when it came time to make fruit baskets and when I had no more energy left to build another one, you were there to remind me that we "had a wedding to pay for!"
Your memory lingers and floods us, everywhere we go, there you are. The depth of sorrow that we are feeling right now is not even capable to be put into words. The world is a darker place without you, but I am a better person to have been honored to have you in my life.
So, if we must part then let us go with words like may God bless you and thank you for the good times, for in doing so, we not only keep your memory alive, but we leave the door open to meet up again in a better place.
I love you and will miss you always. My heart is eternally broken......
Love you always Mundo!

To the Nee Family and extended Nee family
I am so very very sorry for your loss. Rick was in my life from a very young age and this family was my family and truly helped me get to where I am today. I will never forget the 5+ years that I lived with Rick, Sheila and you boys (Ricky, B, and Paulie-you are my brothers). Rick, those rides back and forth to UMASS were some of the best times of my life even if some of them were during tough times....you made them fun no matter the cicumstances. You were and still are my idol. To say you treated me as son would be an understatement. We shared ties and shirts and even an occassional suit when I had a big event (thanks). You will always be in my heart and I will never forget all you did for me Rick. I love you and miss you. You are the very best. We will see each other on the other side someday....I expect a good joke when I get there.
Love,
Zas

Rick, you are such a special person and you touched so many lives- you will be deeply missed by everyone who loves you. Ricky, Brian and Paulie, your Dad lit up with pride every time he spoke about each one of you guys- you had such a special relationship with him, not only as your Dad but as your best friend as well. Paulie, your eulogy was beautiful- you captured him perfectly and he would have been so honored and proud of you for getting up there with the support of your brothers. Ricky, you always say “we’re not here for a long time, we’re here for a good time”....I hope it brings all of you peace knowing that your Dad had such a good life with such amazing family and friends. It’s heartbreaking that he wasn’t here for that long, but he left behind so many incredible memories - his love will always be felt. In all the years I’ve known him, I never saw Rick without a giant smile on his face or a funny joke to tell (except maybe for when your parents would catch you guys throwing parties on Chestnut Street). With deepest sympathy to the Nee and Pompey families- you are in my thoughts and prayers. Rick will always be remembered as such a genuine man with a beautiful spirit and an endless love for his family. He’s your Guardian Angel now, watching over you with the same love and pride that he had while he was here.
All my love,
Alyse

To the entire Nee Family and extended family of Rick - I am deeply sorry for your loss. Rick was truly one of the greatest men that I have had the pleasure of knowing.
He was like a second father to me. He was also a wonderful role model and friend. I always looked forward to seeing him down the produce market and hearing his jokes. He brightened my mornings when he would bring me coffee when my Dad was on vacation and I was barely awake at 5:00 AM - I will never forget all of the help and support he provided.
I stiil remember being 5 years old when Rick brought me to one of my first hockey practices at the old Everett Rink. All I can remember is being completely lost out there and not knowing what was going on. I cried and cried because I just wanted to be with Rick that day. He taught me very well.
To Rick Jr., Brian and Paulie - I love you guys like you were my brothers and I would do anything for you guys. Let's keep the memory of a wonderful father, a fantastic friend and a truly great man alive.
Rick - I love you and will miss you in a way that words simply cannot express.
Until we meet again, "I'll see ya Mundo...."

To the Nee Family,
My heart goes out to all of you. I was lucky enough to work with Ricky for many years at BAX Global and, in fact, was the one who hired him back in the 70's. He was so well liked by everyone in our company and our industry. He was never without a smile or a joke but he was a terrific manager because he led by example. You can all be very proud of him.
I will miss him terribly.
Sincerely,

To My Three Sons,
We have lost a Wonderful loving Man, Your Father loved you all so so much and was so very proud of each and every one of you. He was your biggest FAN . He coached all of you in your sports Never missed a game, we would go on Sundays to the park and teach to all to ride your bike without training wheels, and he would be running behind you GO GO GO. On Easter running around the house making bunny footprints and Christmas making noises that Santa was up on the roof, he loved life to the fullest. Going to the cape every summer on the beach and we outgrew that and started going to DisneyWorld and he would act like a kid on all the rollar coasters, you would all be screaming and laughing. We worked as a team with you boys and brought you up to be loving young men and we love you uncondionally. You all know no matter what you could come to either one of us and talk and never be afraid, we always listened, and he will still be listening. You need to stay Strong and carry on his infectious laughter and personality. Be proud he was your dad. You have many many stories to carry on to your children when you have them :) and remember he is your Guardian Angel sitting right on each one of your shoulders whispering in your ears I Love you Rick, Brian and Paul. Live Life to the Fullest Show me Proud and remember I Love you all so very much and your pain is my pain and I am here for you at all times and you all know that. God Bless you all.

To the Nee Family:
Sorry to hear of the passing of Rick. It's difficult enough to lose a member of your family, but when they're so young, it's that much harder. Rick was always a happy man & we had many fun times with him at the hockey rink. Try to keep your family together & strong for each other. It's been almost 1 year for us & it doesn't get any easier. We want you to know that we're here for you if you ever need to talk to any of us.

I have been struggling to find the words to describe just how special a man Rick was but as I read the guest book and the comments of all the people who loved him I realize I can only try to add how special Rick was to me.
Rick lived his life with passion and joy that others could only envy. That passion began and ended with his family. I wish I could see you Sharon and the Nee boys to tell you all the heartwarming stories about just how loved you were but as I read Rick Junior's beautiful words in the guestbook I realize that knowledge is imbedded in your souls.
Rick's loss touches us all on different levels. Since moving from Boston I haven't had the priveledge of sharing in Rick's daily life but the infrequent visit or phone call couldn't help but be filled with laughter.
Some people walk through life achieving little and touching few souls. Well, Rick made up for all of them. He touched so many of us and filled us all with joy. Thinking of that joy now is painful but only by living our lives with passion and talking about the joyous moments we shared with with other can we keep Rick's indomitable spirit alive.
I feel like I could go on forever but I'll close saying God bless all of you who loved Rick as I did. His smile is alive in all of us; may we carry it forward with a passion that honors his life

Dad,
The Past few days have been rough without you. I always knew you were special man not only to us boys but to a lot of people. I have met so many people that you had a big impact on. I can not help but to think about the great times me and you shared. Road trip to Virginia, huskie football games, camdem yards or the most important just me and you hanging out. I will talk to you everyday and will know you are listening. I knew you would have been proud of my eulogy, I did it just the way you would have wanted it. I would not be where I am today if it was not for you. I will carry on your name that would make you proud. I will miss you so much but I know there will be a day when we will meet again. I love you Buddy....My hero

I would just like to say to any and all that knew Ricky, my heart goes out to you. I was lucky enough to have the opportuinity to become close to this family and spend time with Ricky, listen to his jokes and see his wonderful smile that always made you do the same- and for that I am blessed. Not a word could be said to ease the pain we endure when such a great person such as Ricky is taken from us.Ricky is the reason we can look out into this world and find the hope to believe that good people are out there still. He is one of the greatest. I wish with all my heart that those he loved and who love him will allow him to live on forever in your memory and in your heart. I know that I will always remember Ricky...always.
All my love, and my deepest sympathy. You are forever in my heart and prayers. God Bless

Dad,
I have never been more proud to be your son than the last two days. The amount of people who showed up to pay their respects is amazing. Thank you for always believing in me- whether it be when I joined the Marine Corp or when I decided to start running marathons. You have always been my biggest fan. You have taught me so much- how to throw a curve ball, how to skate, my multiplication tables, how to get back up after failing, how to always laugh, and most importanly how to be a man. When I crossed the finish line at the Chicago Marathon last year, it was one of the happiest days of my life- not because I ran my best marathon time- but because I caught a glimpse of you at the finish line jumping up and down with excitement. At that moment, I knew I had just impressed the best guy in the whole world. From this day on, I will celebrate the great life you lived through my actions. I will work and fight hard every day to honor your great name. I love you so much and wait for the day when we will meet again.. Love, Ricky..

My deepest sympathy to the Nee family. We have all lost a truly great man who obviously impacted more lives than could have been imagined. I met Rick through business but a friendship evolved between Rick and myself that will be irreplaceable. Being similar of age we shared stories of our adolescent years that brought back many fond memories for both of us. Whether it be at lunch or on the golf course Rick and I would make each other laugh so hard we would have tears running down our faces. I am going to miss that incredible laugh. I also learned how proud he was of his family and how much you meant to him. He truly loved you all.
Please know that I am simply a better person for having known Rick. Rest in peace my friend.

It is so clear that Rich was loved by many and had touched so many peoples lives. I did not know him very well but did work with him at Expeditors and what I always noticed about him was his positive attitude, he always had a smile on his face and would always say hello with such happiness in his voice. I sit by many people who worked for him and you could tell he was a wonderful person to work for. He seemed to have this amazing ability to have his employees get their work done all while having a fun time, which is such a rare trait to embody. He also seemed to become close with many people here as well, he will be missed greatly and I feel blessed to have gotten a chance to meet him. My thoughts are with all who knew and love him!

Great, great, great guy...
Rick was a good friend of my parents especially during the pop warner days of the Huskies. He was part of the "Husky family" so to speak. Even though I was a kid, I will always remember his dry humor and laughter. My heart goes out to Paulie and Matty, Sharon, Jed and the entire family that Ricky was a huge part of. Stay strong and remember his joy. Much love to all of you.

This message was received in email from Rita Yessayan from Extech, a client of ours at Expeditors....
My condolences go out to all of you on the passing of a great guy Rick Nee.
Please read attached poem and hope that it will give you some piece and comfort.
Please share this note with everyone at Expeditors and if possible with Rick Nee’s family.
Death is nothing at all. It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.
Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am I, and you are you, and the old life
that we lived so fondly together is untouched,
unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort,
without the ghost of a shadow upon it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you,
for an interval,
somewhere very near,
just round the corner.
All is well.
- Henry Scott Holland

Rick was a neighbor of mine growing up. I witnessed him grow from a boy to a man always smiling. Our lives touched again when his boys played sports with my son. He was so proud of his family. He gave of himself to the community and others always extending friendship, a helping hand or just listening. He was truly a wonderful human being and will be sorely missed. Although I haven't seen him in quite a while, he has left many lasting memories throughout the years. My family and I extend to the Nee Family our heartfelt condolences. After my conversation with Rick last Thursday 11/8/07, I am blown away. I have known Rick for about 11 years, mostly when we was with BAX. He was a Global Account Manager and I was the Sales Manager for BAX in Indianapolis. Rick would come to town to call on Global opportunities. He was one of the best sales guys I have ever met. He was tenacious in never saying no. Rick always was positive, was not willing to quit, always knew his clients business from end to end. But most of all, he was a great family guy. I will never forget when he discussed a vacation he and his family took in a motor home up and down the east coast. He informed me it was a blast and I should do the same. What a way to be close with the group that means the most. I have not done that yet, but I will.
I have been with EI for a little over 3 years. Shortly after I started and Mary Jo was on this conference call for a local ORD NAT account I helped bring on board. Some of the business was going to be in the BOS area. Rick heard my name and reached out to me, what a great surprise and what a great catch for our company..
I do not know why I am sending all of this information, except Rick Nee was a great guy.
Please give my condolences.

To Rick's Family -
I recall when we hired Rick into the Expeditor family and how enthusiastic he was to tackle his new challenge. His enthusiasm, his devotion and support of others, his humor, and his endless positive attitude never wavered which was a beckon of strength for the rest of us.
When I think of Rick, I can think of only one fault - he was a Red Sox fan. He was nearly perfect.
Please except our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

I can see that Rick touched many lives over the years, through family and friends. I remember Rick from, what seems like the olden days now, back in the holy hallways of Our Lady of Grace School, Class of 1969. I am sure that our mothers knew we were angels, I am not to sure if the nuns thought so, especially chasing us around the vast halls of the convent during spring cleaning. I will say this about Rick, he saw the future of Everett with the children. He and a few others when we attended Everett High School way back in the early 70's, Class of 1973 were gathering a petition to build a new high school down on the under utilized section of Glandale Park. Well he saw it happen and now along with other Everett visionaries the children of Everett will be touched by Ricky Nee. Thank you Rick for what you have done and especially for not telling the nuns where I was hiding in the convent way back when.

Sharon & Family:
I have such wonderful memories of Rick. -- Times working and having such great times at the BAX Christmas parties, etc. Our group was very close and we enjoyed working together, as well as socializing. Rick always cared about people, as well as their families. We had a mutual love of trains and we talked about that often. He was always there to give an encouraging word, a bit of advice and to make you feel happy. I am so thankful that he was in my life and I will truly miss him. GOD bless him and may HE enjoy Rick's kindness and humor in Heaven. Thank you for the good memories.
Love and Heart Felt Sympathy to all of you.

He really loved his family and I thought you all should now how much he talked about you and what you meant to him. We will miss him everyday as he had an ability to make anyone smile. Rick was such a wonderful person who loved life and just beamed when he spoke of his wife and children, and I thank him for being such a good mentor to my daughter Jennifer. He was not just her boss but also another father figure.
When someone passes so young and unexpectedly, the pain left behind at times seems too great to bare. I too lost my mother and brother unexpectedly at the same time and someone who I didn't even know sent me a letter with words that helped carry me through that terrible time. I'd like to share it: "When your time comes, all your pain and sorrow will be but a fleeting moment when you see Rick's smiling face and his arms outstretched to embrace you once again. Today is short, eternity is forever". May God bless all of you and give you strength through the days ahead.

I just wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. I worked with Rick a little over a year. He was a wonderful man he shared his stories about going to Suffolk Downs to the races. He enjoyed talking about the good old day's you could tell, his face lit up with a great big smile. He is going to be sorely missed by all. He will be in our thoughts and prayers.

What a guy......
I have only known Rick for a short time but within that time I have learned that he was a very caring/loving family man with a great since of humor..
I know he will be greatly missed by all, Just keep in mind one thing that can NEVER be taken away is the memories... and I'm sure there are many GOOD memories of Rick Nee. Can you picture the view he has now sitting around a camp fire? My prayers are with all of you.
