Age 83, of Weymouth, formerly of Watertown, Nov. 12, 2007. Beloved husband of 55 years to Helen "Betty" Gillis. Father of Paul C. Gillis, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Brockton and Ann Marie Acker and her husband Victor of So. Weymouth. Grandfather to Samantha & Jessie Gillis and Benjamin and Henry Acker. Brother of Father Edward F. Gillis of Hingham, Mary Jacobs of Medway, Louise Gillis of Braintree, Ruth Ryan of Norwell and the late Barbara Barron. Funeral from the SOUTH WEYMOUTH McDonald Funeral Home, 809 Main St., (Rte. 18 opp. So Shore Hospital), Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in the St. Francis Xavier Church at 10 o'clock. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Army Veteran, W.W. II. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be made to Alzheimers Assoc., http://www. alz.org/. Mr. Gillis,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
