Ruth Viles Obituary

90, Of Christopher Heights Assisted Living in Attleboro, MA died on Friday, November 16,2007. A long time resident of Quincy, MA. She was the wife of the late Edward M. Viles, to whom she was married 32 years. Born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia on March 17, 1917, she was the youngest of six siblings. She came to the United States in 1936 and was later employed by Sears and retired from New England Telephone. She also enjoyed many activities in her thirteen years at 1000 S. Artery, including music, art and travel. Besides her late husband, she was the loving mother of three children, the late Patricia Antalek of Natick MA, Edward Viles of Quincy, and Paul Viles and his wife Karen of North Attleboro. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren Kathy Antalek and her husband Steve Schrag of West Brookfield, Michael Viles of Quincy, Kelly Viles of Bourne and Kathryn and Kristina Viles of N. Attleboro and one great grandchild, Patricia Schrag of West Brookfield. A Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church, 10 Quincy Ave., Quincy on Tuesday November 20 at 11 A.M. Burial will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to the Christ Church Food Pantry, 10 Quincy Ave. Quincy 02169.
