I'd just like to say that I am so proud to be my uncle Mike's nephew. Whenever he would introduce me as his nephew I always felt a little "extra-special". He was the most optimistic, happy & generous man I have ever known. He never complained, even through his treatments, and had a special enthusiasm for life. He always looked at the most stressful or conflicting situation as an opportunity to find something good or useful in it... always looking at the glass as half full and never understanding why someone would look at it as half empty? He treated others as he would have liked to be treated, and it paid off. I will always remember his fun sense of humor and what his laugh sounded like. I tried my best to make him laugh many times (and succeeded to). Life will never be the same without him here, but I will try to live my life the way he would because if I can, I know I will be very successful... in more ways than one. Whenever I find myself about to complain about something trivial, I will remember what he went through and what he had to leave behind way too early (his family), and instead, I will try to enjoy the moment and try to make the most of the day. He really loved life and his people in it. I will always try to help out anyway I can, and he will never, ever be even remotely forgotten in any way at all. I miss him dearly but will see him again one day I am sure.

Mike Caporale a Special Friend
November 22, 2007
People who knew Mike Caporale and were fortunate enough to spend time with him, whether it be personal or business, knew what a sincere, knowledgeable, caring and extremely generous individual Mike was. Mike was always more concerned about everyone else rather than himself. He was always looking for ways to make others happy. I was blessed to have had a very close relationship with Mike as a friend/brother that I will never forget. In the 20 plus years that I knew Mike Caporale our relationship grew to an understanding of true friendship and respect for our family’s responsibilities. It is amazing to me that Mike and I never had an argument in business or in friendship that wasn’t resolved immediately within that same conversation. The only thing we truly ever argued about was that Mike insisted on always paying the bill. Anyone who knows Mike would have encountered his same overzealous generosity. I know that Mike was respected by everyone who knew him and he touched each person in some special way. Though Mike and I were very close and talked about many personal things, he never wanted to talk with me about the pain he was going through. It was never about him. He had the most wonderful sense of humor and always emphasized the positive of every situation. I have the utmost respect and admiration for this truly remarkable person.
I can not begin to explain the emptiness that I feel at this time and I look to his example of strength to help me to set an example on how I will carry myself through this difficult time for his family and our friends. Other than my parents, I have never lost anyone so close to me and I will look to special memories that he and I shared to get me through this difficult time.
I will miss him
