Mary Campbell Obituary

92, a longtime resident of Whitman, died Sunday November 25th, in the Sachem Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in East Bridgewater, after a period of failing health. Mary was the wife of the late William W. Campbell. Daughter of the late Daniel T. and Josephine (MacFarlane) Murphy. She was born in Boston, lived most of her life in Whitman. Since 1971, she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Joseph Melisi. Mary was a member of the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman. She enjoyed watching bowling on T.V., traveling to Florida and visiting with her family. She is survived by three sons and three daughters: David Campbell and his wife Mary, of Whitman, Robert Campbell and his wife Alice of Florida, Richard Campbell of California, Elaine Melisi and her husband Joseph of Whitman, Beverly Thibodeau and her husband George of Brockton and Gail Quinn and her husband Terrance of Hanson, her sisters, Julia Murray and her husband Robert of Roslindale, Elizabeth Sullivan and her husband Joseph of Hingham, Helen Forgeron and her husband Edward of California and Margaret Barbanti and her husband Joseph of Florida; also 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Catherine Connolly. Her funeral services will be held Thursday, November 29th at 8:15 A.M. from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Inc, Plymouth Street (Rt 58 at the Rotary Circle) WHITMAN, MA., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 A.M. in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman, MA. Burial will be in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman, MA. Visiting hours Wednesday, November 28th 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, C/O Holy Ghost Church, Washington Street, Whitman, MA. 02382. Dear Campbell Family,
