Robert Branagan Obituary

86, a longtime resident of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away early Monday, November 26, 2007, at the Franklin County Rehab Center in St. Albans, VT. He was born in Boston, MA on June 8, 1921, the son of the late John and Alice (Cushing) Branagan. He was married to the former Sylvia Louise (Goodwin), who preceded him in death on Sept 22, 1979. Robert served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in North Africa during World War II. Upon his return, he was employed for many years as a Pharmaceutical Representative for Smith-Kline Company. He was an avid golfer belonging to the Nashua Country Club and enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada. In addition, he enjoyed many trips throughout North America and Europe with his longtime companion Helen. Survivors include his son; Christopher Branagan and his wife, Carolyn of Georgia, VT, his daughter; Marcia Aguero and her husband, David of Clinton, WA, five grandchildren; Amy, Sean, Mary, Bevin and Caren, and his companion; Helen Antinarelli of Waltham, MA. In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by a sister; Frances Kelly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 30, 2007, at 10 A.M. at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 62 Manchester St, Nashua, NH. Interment will be at the Branagan family lot in Westlawn Cemetery, New Estate Rd in Littleton, MA on Saturday at 11 A.M. Mr. Branagan,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army Air Forces in North Africa during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
