Helen Franklin Obituary

{M3}WESTWOOD Franklin, Helen Grace MARTHA'S VINEYARD Franklin, Helen Grace {M1}FRANKLIN, Helen Grace {M1}(Carlson) _formerly of Westwood, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 at her home in Vineyard Haven after a long illness with Parkinson's disease. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Franklin of Vineyard Haven, son Jeffrey John Franklin of Ventura, CA and daughter, Martha Ruth Braunstein of Albany, NY. Grandchildren, Laura Alexis Braunstein of New Orleans, LA and Eric Daniel Braunstein who attends Colby College in Waterville, ME and a brother, John Paul Carlson of Littleton, MA. Her memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007 in Grace Episcopal Church, Vineyard Haven at 2pm. Donations may be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, 720 Harrison Avenue Suite 707, Boston, MA 02118 or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Church Street Station, P.O. Box 780, New York, NY 10008-0780. Arrangements are under the care of the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, Oak Bluffs.
