Dear DaShawn and the Family of D(Wayne),

My heart goes out to you for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday.

Dwayne was a very special man who was loved by many. His kindness and thoughtfulness reached out to so many of us. I remember when the dam was going to break near my house; it was on the news and in all the papers… Dwayne called me and offered for my son and myself to come and stay at his place until we were safe to go back home. Luckily it didn’t come to that, but I will never forget that offer. But that was just one of the many times Dwayne reached out to others.

I will miss our talks on life and his strength to lean on when life gets hard. I will also miss my favorite client. I so enjoyed being Dwayne’s hairstylist… it was a lot of fun, to see him sitting under the hairdryer with tons of foils in his hair.

I feel honored to have call Dwayne my friend, and will hold him in my heart forever.

I know Dwayne is not alone; Michele was waiting for him to guide him when he passed over, she will take good care of him.

DaShawn, you are such a strong and loving person, and Dwayne loved you so. I am so happy for the short time he had you in his life, you were his world.

I remember the first time I ever met Wayne (Dwayne) and thought to myself, "What a wild man!!" but in a good way of course. What a free spirit!! I just loved that about him and that big smile he always greeted us with and those "blue eyes" and I had to chuckle at another poster who mentioned his "hair flip" lol - That was our Dwayne. He sure had an individualism about himself. Certainly was true to himself. I met him along with another friend who has also since passed, Michele. They were such great friends and now I'm sure they're hangin' out together. The next time our paths were to cross was a weekend in Toronto and again, he was as warm and welcoming as the first time. I loved Dwayne's spirit, his sense of fun and friendship. He was such a beautiful spirit and always so welcoming. He always made sure everyone felt included. He was definitely a giving soul and will be missed but certainly not forgotten!! What a free spirit!! He was definitely loved by many, with many many friends. He touched so many people and never struck me as a quitter and of course anyone who really knew him, definitely know that was true. I believe that he had probably made peace with his reality and destiny. I'm blessed to have had the pleasure of getting to know, even if only a few times, a wonderful spirit. What a cool guy!!

When I think of Wayne(Dwayne) I can't help but smile, I can't help but cry and I can't help but hope... He's made me do all these things before and will continue to forever... He was a wonderful human being, a wonderful friend and someone that I as well as many many others will never forget... I can only hope that in some way I can carry on his spirit. My heart and soul goes out the the Glynn family, I am gracious to have met you all through the wonderful man who has connected us...

To all those who held Wayne (Dwayne) close to their hearts, we offer our deepest sympathies. Dwayne (as we knew him) could be full of the devil one minute and saintly the next. It was always a joy to be with him. But when he found love with his dear DaShawn, he truly blossomed.

We will miss his boyish laugh, his kind heart and those beautiful baby blues.
