Dear Elaine,
It's hard to imagine a better example of a life lived well -- a life we'd do well to emulate.
What a wonderful example Dom set for boys wrestling with the "demons" of adolescence. My son Gordon and my husband Peter enjoyed working alongside Dom during Boy Scout Troop 154 activities. But it was Gordon's friendship with Greg that brought him closer to the man who became a positive influence and an outstanding role model.
We're grateful for Dom's presence in our lives.

To the More family. My wife Gerri + I would like to pass along our most sincere condolences. Dom was a great person to work for and with. He always had a smile on his face and you could count on him to bring some humor to even the most tense situations. The world would be a much better place, if we had more people like Dom.

To the More family-
I just want to echo what others have said about Mr. More. There are a number of stories I can think of involving scouts and dealing with difficult family situations that I can think of where he helped me grow as a person or just set a good example. He was a wonderful man and I am sorry for your family's loss.

Kristina-
My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to you for the loss of your dad, I know he was so very special to you. Though I only met him a couple of times, he struck me as a very kind and fun loving person. I know how much you looked up to him and how much you and all your family loved him. I struggle with what to say because I know the words are inadequate to take away the pain and sense of loss you are feeling. Know that I'm thinking of you and you'll be in my prayers.

Elaine: It has been a long hard road for both of you. At least Dom is at peace now and no longer suffering. You have to be completely exhausted since you have been his care caregiver through all of this. Take care of yourself and our deepest sympathy. Know how much Dom loved Great East. He will be looking down on everyone and still enjoying the beautiful place and scenery.

Mrs More, Kristina, Greg and Marisa,
I need to sign this guest book again to tell you the impact your father had on me. He was one of the most fun loving, family man I have ever met. Your whole family took me in as one of their own, when I felt alone, and out of place in this crazy world we live in. When I was young, I would often spend the nights over, and when Mr and Mrs More came in to say goodnight, your father would always ask if I brought my clothespin. He would joke saying my snoring would keep him and the mrs up at night. Your family made me feel a sense of belonging, they took me on family vacations to Totem Pole and we'd sleep in the pop up camper. I would also go to your family's homes in Mass. Your father brought the sense of family to me and I have to this day, become a better person for knowing him and you all are lucky you have the lifelong memories of such a great man.

Elaine, Kristina, Greg and Marisa I am sooo sad to hear the news and my family's prayers are with you. You are one of those special families of which I have so many childhood memories.
It was Dom who, when I was a "twentysomething" trying to develop a career, shared a tongue-in-cheek example of "making it" in business by saying, "Why when I interviewed for an accounting job at_______ and they asked me what 1 and 1 equals I told them, 'whatever you want it to'...and I got the job.'" That story still helps me remember not to take things too seriously! He's always in my memories.
God bless and cling to each other.
