She was born in Bristol Conn., the daughter of Martha (Baldwin) and Anthony Towle. She graduated from Bristol High Class of 1945, Wheaton College Class of 1949, and Conn. Teachers College. She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Russell, Martha, and Reed Jenkins of Brewster, Ma. Her only sister and her husband, Sue and Bob Huckman of Harwichport, MA and her loving companion Charles Felice of Medfield, MA as well as many special nieces and nephews. Her teaching career started in Albany, NY and continued in Medfield where she taught first and second grade for 29 years. Over the years Mrs. Jenkins touched and changed the lives of hundreds of Medfield students and their families. Burial will be private but a Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM, Saturday December 8, 2007 at the United Church of Christ, 496 Main St., Medfield, MA with a reception following in the Church hall. To honor her memory and her lifelong contribution to Medfield, a scholarship fund has been established which will be awarded yearly to a senior at Medfield High interested in a career in teaching. Donations to the fund can be sent to Margaret Jenkin's Scholarship Fund, Needham Bank, Box 295, Medfield MA, 02052 or dropped off at the Bank. In this way we hope that her memory and dedication to teaching will inspire the next generation and reinforce the circle of life.

My dear friend, Peg has gone home to God. I have so many fond memories of Peg and our time working together in her first grade classroom. I was her "devoted aide". She taught me so much about working with and teaching children. I will never forget her. My prayers are with her family at this sad time. Try to fill your thoughts with wonderful memories of her life.
