Of S. Weymouth formerly of Braintree at the age of 79 after a long illness Dec. 2, 2007. Beloved husband of Maria A. (Mota) Carvalho. Loving father of Maria Andrade and her husband Carl of NH, Joseph S. Carvalho and his wife Rosa of NH, Octavio F. Carvalho and his wife Clare of Weymouth, Victor Carvalho and his wife Lorena of Weymouth, and Olga Couto and her husband Bob of Peabody. Dear grandfather of Lori Andrade, Kevin Andrade, Melissa Carvalho, Richard Carvalho, Keri Carvalho, Daniel Carvalho, Derek Carvalho, Briana Couto, Kristen Couto, Mark Couto and Patricia Carvalho. Reposing at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., BRAINTREE until 9:15 AM Wednesday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Clare Church, 12244 Liberty St., Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph. Mr. Carvalho was a retired Dunkin Donut Franchisee in Quincy where he had operated for about 15 years. He retired in 1994. Has lived in S. Weymouth for the past 2 years and prior to that he had lived in Braintree for over 26 years. He was born in St. Miguel, Azores, Portugal and came to the US in July of 1966.
