Of Hudson, MA, formerly of Cambridge, December 4, 2007 age 92. Survived by his daughter, Edna Vinagro of Kennebunk, ME; 2 sisters, Marie Di Leo of Cambridge, MA, Eleanor Aqualino of Canton, MA; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and nephews. Born in Cambridge, MA, son of the late William & Rose (St. Martin) Rooney. Former payroll supervisor at New England Electric Co. (National Grid) in Westborough, MA. Graduate of Cambridge Ringe & Latin H.S., U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. Former coach of Hudson Little League Baseball. His funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com) 50 Central St. (on RT. 62, exit 26 off 495) Hudson, MA with a funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson MA. Calling hours will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.

Mr. Rooney,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
