Dear Ruth,
How well I remember babysitting for your lovely children as you and Frank headed out the door for a night on the town. You two were role models for me then. I wanted to be just like you. Now I have been married for 44 years tomorrow. How amazing our lives are. We were so grounded in St. Luke's and my parents (John d. 1995 and Marguerite Hamilton d. 1988) were too. Thank you and your beloved husband for being such good models for an impressionable young girl in the 1950s.
With sympathy,
Janet Hamilton Carr

My dear cousins and Aunt Ruth,
As people of faith, and being from an imperfect race, we believe that one cannot enter the gates of Heaven until one is ready to pay the perfect price. It brings me solace to think that Uncle Frank had reached a state of perfection as to merit the warm embrace of the Father. It comforts me to believe that Uncle Frank is amongst family and friends that have gone before him. I can envision a fabulous card game going on with Jack Kelly, Ed Geary, and Ed Bernard and I can only imaging the laughter and fellowship filling the heavens.
I will always remember "Brother" when I say Geekers! I always admired his penchant for dressing nicely and remember him fondly advising me so long ago that "You can be fat, or you can be a slob...but don't ever be a fat slob". :)
I will miss the exchanging handshakes when I would marvel at the size of his hands and pray he would not crush me only to luxuriate in the softness and warmth of his grip that belied the gentle man we all knew and loved.
In the end Franks heart may have failed himself but it never failed his family or friends.
I am praying for your strength through these days and hope that you find yourselves surrounded by the people you love.
