Roberta Lower Obituary

69, of Naples, FL and Wilbraham, MA. Beloved wife of Martin A. Lower, passed away on December 10, 2007. She was born in Boston, MA and spent her childhood in Baldwinsville, NY where she starting dating her husband of 47 years at age 13. She will be missed by her loving and devoted family including her husband, martin, her daughters Deborah (Mark) Wandzilak of Charlotte, NC; Pamela (Barry) Bass of Potomac, MD; Rebecca (Michael) Collins of Bedford, NH; Cynthia (David) Hudson of Bedford, NH and her grandchildren: Janna, Elena and Drew Wandzilak; Jeffrey, Caroline and Allison Bass; Zachary, Rachel and Reese Collins; and Avery and Riley Hudson. Also by her father, Robert Dosh, of East Longmeadow, MA, and her sisters Diana (Dennis) Dion of Rockport, ME, and Barbara (William) Simmons of Punta Gorda, FL. She was preceded in death by her mother, Harriet McDuffee Dosh. She was a member of Wyndemere Country Club, Naples, FL, where she lived, as well as Longmeadow Country Club, Longmeadow, MA, where she was President of the Ladies 9-Holers. Roberta was a graduate of State University of New York in Albany. She was the administrative assistant of the Dover Church, Dover, MA from 1979 until 1992. She was also a member of the Broomstones Curling Club, Wayland, MA and Brae Burn Country Club, West Newton, MA. In recent years, she cared for her father who is 101. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, travel, play golf, research geneology and play bridge. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at the Dover Church, 17 Springdale Ave., Dover, MA 02030 on December 29, 2007 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to The Heart Rhythm Foundation, 1400 K St., NW Suite 500, Washington, DC 20005 or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Rd., Naples, FL.

Sorry for your loss, I recall having very nice conversations with Bobby at LCC, when we met on the course and in the ladies locker room. She was quite nice, and I am sure that she leaves behind a lovely family. I also remember her happiness at being with her grandchildren, as I ran into her one night while she was dining out with them. Regards,
