Madeline Kelly Obituary

75, died peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Brittany Farms Nursing Home in Connecticut. Madeline succumbed to her illness after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Madeline Holmes and husband Paul F. Kelly Sr. and niece Megan Brown. Her greatest joys in life were being a loving and devoted sister to Carole Holmes of Arlington, MA and Audrey Giordano and her husband Robert Giordano of Allentown, NJ, mother to Paul F. Kelly and his companion Noreen of San Francisco, CA, Mark T. Kelly and his wife Kimberly of Duxbury, MA and Sean J. Kelly and his wife Christine of Kensington, CT, and grandmother to Michaela Kelly of MA and Nicholas Gould, Shauna, Patrick and Samantha Kelly all of CT. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born in Boston on June 30, 1932, Madeline lived most of her life in Somerville, Arlington and Woburn MA. She was an active and devoted member of the Catholic Church. She was a very kind and compassionate person who had a love of life and family and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to Brittany Farms Nursing Home and all of the nurses and aides who took such good care of her. Her family will receive friends on Friday from 4-8 P.M. at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Arlington, MA. Family and friends may gather on Saturday, 9:00 am at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, ARLINGTON, MA, followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Agnes Church, 25 Medford Street, Arlington MA. Burial will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA. In lieu of flowers, Madeline's wishes were that donations be made to the Elizabeth and George L.
