Bigelow Crocker Obituary

85, of Lunenburg, died in his home on Monday, Dec. 10. He was born in Fitchburg on Nov. 21, 1922, the son of the late Bigelow and Barbara (Cushing) Crocker. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeanne (LaCroix) Crocker of Lunenburg; five children, Susanne C. Richey and her husband Charles C., Jr. of Hamilton, John Todd Crocker and his wife Caroline L. of Concord, David Bigelow Crocker of Santa Fe, NY, Martha Paine Crocker and her husband Thomas S. Leonard of Huntsville, UT, and Lucy C. Abisalih and her husband Thomas A. of Merrimac, NH; nine grandchildren, Ashley and Dugan MacVaugh, Lee, John and Hope Crocker, Jeanne-Arli and Alicia Harrington Crocker, Claire and William Abisalih; two sisters, Rosemary C. Kemp of Meredith, NH and Carolyn C. Winslow of Manchester, MA and three sisters-in-law, Rosemary Darling, Susanne Phippen and Edith Dabney. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 11 AM in the United Parish of Lunenburg on Main St. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crocker Field Restoration Fund, c/o F.H.S. Athletic Dept., 140 Arn-How Farm Rd., Fitchburg, MA 01420 or to the Fitchburg Historical Society, 50 Grove St., Fitchburg, MA 01420. The Lunenburg Chapel of Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 763 Massachusets Ave., LUNENBERG is directing the funeral arrangements. www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net.

My dearest Mrs. Crocker....I wish I knew the right words to say to comfort you and your family at this time...my heart bleeds for you all for this loss. The fondest memory I have of Mr. Crocker is him always referring to you as "my bride". He loved you with an everlasting love. Mrs Crocker and family. I am so sorry for the loss of Big. He was a beautiful man and always so loving to our family. We know this is a hard time for all of you and please know that our entire family is there for you if you need anything.
