Gelana Eddy Obituary

Gelana Sharon Eddy, 68, of Bradenton went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2011. Sharon had a heart for praying for and witnessing to people. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Edward A. Eddy; son, Michael Eddy; daughter, Angela (Sonny) Hughes; brother, Ralph Steele; sister, Jeannie Humphrey; grandchildren, Elias & Brianna Eddy and Zachary & Emily Hughes. Service will be Monday, May 16, 11:00am at The Tabernacle in Sarasota. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to The Tabernacle Missions Fund, 4141 Desoto Road, Sarasota, FL 34235. Arrangements by Griffith-Cline.

So sorry to hear of Sharon's passing. We who believe in the truth know without a doubt Sharon is with our Lord which gives us all comfort in this knowledge. Greater still is the comfort her family is experiencing because of God's promise, faithfulness, and love.

Our family remembers Sharon from our time at Christian Retreat. What a sweet lady! Our condolences to Ed, Angie and Mike. She is with the Lord!

I remember Sharon as an energetic woman at Church of the Cross in Bradenton, who was a great witness for Jesus and even visited the jails. She was very sweet and gentle. We pray for God's comfort
for Eddy and to Jeannie Humphrey and the rest of her family. I was too busy to attend her funeral, and I'm so sorry for that. Shirley Vos
