Peggy Oldsmoke Obituary

OLDSMOKE - Peggy Parker June 17, 2008. Peggy was truly an inspiration. Always on the go and willing to lend a helping hand to all. Peggy pioneered and organized the start of the Pine Tree Culture Center. She was on the Board of Directors of NACS. She will be remembered and missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her sisters, Beverly Porter and Joyce Harding; brothers, Alvin and Richard Parker; daughter, Sheila Parker (David B.) Horton of Dallas, TX; sons, Steven Parker, Sacramento, CA, and Anthony Henderson, Buffalo, NY; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many other family members and friends. Memorial services will be held on the Tonawanda Reservation at her late brother Bernard Parkers home, 7283 Parker Rd., Basom, NY 14001, where friends and family may call Saturday at 10 AM and at the Longhouse at 11 AM. Donations to Peggy Parker Oldsmoke Memorial Fund in c/o Beverly Porter and mailed to Maxine Parker, 7283 Parker Rd., Basom, NY 14001.

Bev, Tony and family, I was sorry to hear of Peggy's passing and you have my sincere condolences. I only knew Peggy from working the Pow-Wow, and I quickly learned what a great person she was. She will be sadly missed. Take care,
