BENKELMAN, GORDON - Evelyn G. (nee Blemaster) Of West Valley, NY, formerly of Springville, NY, wife of the late Elton H. Benkelman and Earl B. Gordon; mother of Larry (Linda) Benkelman, Douglas (Frances) Benkelman and Elaine (Ronald) Gertner; step mother of Florine A. Zaccardo, Thelma R. (William) Howard and Carol M. (Ronald) Reiber; also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons; sister of the late Arthur (late Florence), Carl (late Leona) and Lawrence Blemaster. Friends may call Monday from 4-8 PM at the SMITH-WEISMANTEL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 271 E. Main St., Springville followed by funeral services from the Salem Lutheran church, 91 W. Main St., Springville Tuesday afternoon at 2. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of your choice. Mother will be missed by many caring friends and relatives.

Tracy, I am saddened at the loss of your grandmother. Grandmothers have a special place in our hearts and I am sure you were special to her too. With a beautiful name like Evelyn, she must have been a beautiful person. God Bless you and your whole family.
