Angeline Scalia Obituary

SCALIA - Angeline (nee Aloisio) Long time resident of Grand Island, June 19, 2008, age 100, born in Buffalo, she graduated from Buffalo State College and taught for many years in the Buffalo area, at one time she prepared foreigners for their Americanization tests in order to become American citizens, upon her husbands retirement they traveled extensively through Europe, S. America, Canada and Africa, in her spare time she enjoyed doing fancy needlework, baking, fishing and occasionally going to casinos, she was quite proud of the fact that she passed her drivers test when she was close to 70 years of age. She was the wife of the late Leonard Scalia; mother of Paul (Judy) and the late Peter Scalia; sister of Helen Mangone; great-grandmother of Josiah Scalia; also survived by six grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 28, at 10 AM at St. Stephens Church, 2100 Baseline Rd, Grand Island. Flowers gratefully declined.
