So many things I'am thankful to have shared with you,your compliments and gentleness.You telling me that I was the love and light of your life.You filled that empty space inside me with your unselfish,undemanding, uninhibited kind of love.I saw in you that honest and trusting face,with a boyish quality that is so rare. I love you, I miss you, thank you for filling me with so much love and making me a better person.I'll love you forever and always my boy.

I had known Gary for about 36 years. He was always a kind soul and my heart goes out to his family and fiance. I recently looked at pictures of when we and another friend shared an apartment when Gary and I were 19. It doesn't seem like it could have been that long ago. My daughter was lucky enough to meet him two years ago and she was impressed with his honesty and sincerity. These are qualities I also admired about him. Bless all whose life he had touched.

I always enjoyed talking with Gary when I worked at Wende. Sorry to hear of him passing. I lost my 19 yr old son this year so we both had a rough year. God Bless You

To the Keohane family; my deepest sympathy. This is a terrible loss to the family and friends. It is so hard for me to accept that he is gone.
Gary was an important part of my childhood and young adulthood, and will always be fondly remembered. To John K, Steve K, Jim K. Steve, Bob, Al, Joe, Jim, Dave, Larry, Tom and Charlie, Mike, Al G., Ricky, I'll never forget our memories with Gary. God bless.

Gary, I still can't believe you physically left us so soon. As our good friend from St. Margaret's Court, I always looked up to you and admired the comical ways you displayed your own wisdom. You were brilliant, funny and most of all, you had a big heart. I am happy that you were part of my life, growing up in N.Buffalo and hanging out with Jim and Joe.
Buffalo is a sadder place now that you have gone and you will be so very sorely missed. I will never forget you. Love Nancy (Abramo's little sister)

My prayers and thoughts go out to Gary's family and to his fiance Debbie. Gary was a tough old Irishman whom I believed would live forever. I have known Gary for 25 years and I will miss him profoundly. If you were ever in trouble and needed a hand, someone to confide in, or just a friend to talk to Gary was that person. I have so many good memories of Gary he was a true friend and I am a better person for knowing him. Our loss is Heavens gain, St. Peter has a new right hand man.

The Policeman’s and Corrections Officer’s
Judgment Day
The Officer’s stood and faced their God,
Which must always come to pass.
They hoped their shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as their brass.
“Step forward now, Officers.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My church have you been true?”
The men squared their shoulders and
The Policeman spoke first
“No, Lord, I guess We ain’t,
Because those of us who carry badges
can’t always be a saint.
We’ve had to work most Sundays,
and at times our talk was rough,
and sometimes we’ve been violent,
Because the streets are tough.”
The Guard then added,
“But we never took a penny,
That wasn’t ours to keep...
Though we worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep.
And we never passed a cry for help,
Though at times we shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive us,
We’ve wept unmanly tears.”
Together they say,
“We know we don’t deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted us around
Except to calm their fears.
If you’ve a place for us here, Lord,
It needn’t be so grand.
We never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t ... We’ll understand.”
There was a silence around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the Officers waited quietly,
For the judgment of their God.

My brother Tab and I used to hang around with Gary many years ago in the St. Margaret's school yard. He was a great kid and we always had a blast with him.

I was so sorry to learn about Gary's passing. My heart is heavy with sadness as I think back to our Hertel Ave. years, and remember what a special friend Gary was. It has been about thirty years since I last saw Gary, but his kindness and gentleness will live on in my memory. He gave me advice in the early part of my career that I still hold true to this day, and I will always be grateful.
