We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the Nieman family. We will miss seeing Mr. Nieman our neighbor and friend at Chautauqua Lake. We were very sad to hear the news on the fourth of July, but very fortunate to have known such a fine gentleman and great neighbor. We already miss seeing him walking his dog or going back and forth between cottages to work on projects. He told us he would turn off his hearing aid, so when we would yell over to him to say hello and he did not answer we would smile and know why. We will hold the memories of him dear to our hearts as there are many. God Bless

Dear Nieman family-we are so sorry for your loss. Wes entered our lives 7 years ago when we bought our house next toyours in Maple Springs. We always looked forward to seeing him when we were there. His kind, gentle way and the gleam in his eye made him so special. My daughters and would joke that my husband, Michael will be just like Wes when he is in his 80's-always busy with projects and chores and never really relaxing. So glad we had a few minutes with him over Memorial day. We will really miss him. See you all at the lake. Fondly, Lynn and Michael Juppe

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. Every time I came to visit Family and Friends, the first thing I always saw when I pulled into 4 Nina was the tree on the front lawn "Mr. Neiman" helped me plant. He nurtured it daily to ensure it survived. My family never got tired of me telling them "Mr. Neiman helped me plant that tree!" And whenever I was home on Military Leave, he always stopped by on his many walks, with or without a dog, just to say hello. I'll always remember Chautauqua Lake (getting my ear "pierced" by hook on a toy fishing pole), two cottages!: whassup wit dat?, the marathon pinochle games, the "Checker" cars- "All you need is a screwdriver...", and of course- the swingset! Wes was one of the greatest, and we'll never forget that! PS- yes he did look like Uncle Jesse!!!

My heartfelt sympathy in your loss of a fine husband, father, and friend. Your family has always been my extended family since I was 16 (how time flies). Wes was always the ever present force at the cottages, at all pinochle games, and at every combined family gathering. We all know that there comes a time for us to part with our loved ones but I pray that the wonderful memories ease the sadness your are feeling today. Wes truly gave us all something to smile about. Steve and I are praying for all of you and want you to know that we share in your sorrow. May God bless each of you during this time of sadness.
