You were such a big man and had a strong presence in my life that when I was younger I assumed you were my uncle instead of my cousin. As I grew older, you remained in my mind one of the strongest most admired and utmost respected men I knew. It was only until my dad passed away that I realized how important you would come to be. The last time I saw you, you took me to the airport after my dad had passed, stood strong and told me to smile, my dad would have wanted to me to as I headed back to Charleston. In the last coule of years I relyed on you more than I ever told you and was grateful to you because of your willingness to take care of our grandma. Without a doubt, you are the best man I've come to know. This is my letter to you Mikey, I will miss you, tell my dad I miss him too.
Your cousin,
Michele Gronert
