James Predmore Obituary

PREDMORE - James Elwin Age 85, of Coudersport, formally of Alden, NY passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA. James was born on December 13, 1922 in Coudersport, the son of James E. Pat and Myra Bertron Predmore. James was married to Elva Hofmeier for 36yrs. until her passing in 1980 and in 1982 married Rose Marie Higgins Kerest and shared 26 yrs. of marriage.He resided in Alden, NY for many years retiring in 1986 after 20 years of service as a mechanic for the U S Postal service. Prior to working at the postal service he worked at Scott Aviation in Lancaster, NY. James was a former member of the Town Line Lutheran Church, Town Line, NY. James was a volunteer for the Millgrove ambulance association as well as the Millgrove fire department. James is survived by his wife Rose, a son, six daughters, ten grand children and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife Elva. Friends and family are invited to attend Jamess life celebration beginning on Friday, July 18th with visitation from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at the FICKINGER FUNERA HOME, 210 N. East Street, Coudersport, PA 16915. The funeral service will be held at 3 pm Saturday July 19th at the Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Mike Bernard, officiating. Burial will be in the Clarence Fillmore Cemetery Clarence, NY. In Jamess memory contributions may be made to your local fire department of choice.
