Dear Betty and all the Roberts,
What a wonderful person your mother was. Generous, upbeat, straight forward and welcoming. She was all of those things to me, for so, so many years. How lucky I was to be able to spend some time with her last summer. She will be missed and very much remembered.
Love

my name is Jill. I have been a friend of Jimmy and his family for about 10 years. This morning as I was getting ready to attend Jean's funeral, I had the need to share my special memory of Jean.
A few years ago, Jim and I rented Jean's back cottage, she was also going to be up there that week as well.
At that time Jean had not met my parents, so I was hoping to arrange a day when my parents would come to the cottage and they would meet, unfortunately, the day my parents were coming up, Jean had a luncheon to attend. Without realizing it at the time, that day has become my favorite memory of my parents.
Jean insisted that day that I "entertain" in her cottage. My parents. Jimmy and I spent the day laughing and playing cards. Later that evening as I was making dinner for my parents, they went for a walk on the beach. Let me mention that day was very cold and, windy and wet. As I looked out the kitchen window I saw my parents walking along the shore with the wind was blowing my mom's jacket over her head,as they were smiling and walking hand and hand.
Since that day both of parents have passed. I will also be thankful to Jean for providing that memory of my mom and dad.
I remember Jean used to call her cottage her piece of heaven on earth, I am hoping she will always be as peaceful as she was at the cottage.

Dear Robert's Family Members,
I was saddend today to hear of your mother's passing. I have many fond memories of her caring for me in my wayward youth. Especially letting me sleep on the couch in the living room on those cold Buffalo winter nights. Not to mention her looking the other way while we partied on the beach during the summer. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all as you grieve Jean. Peace and blessings, Dan (Boomer) Ryan
