Gloria O'Grady Obituary

OGRADY - Gloria Ann (nee Matyjasik) Surrounded by her loving family, and after a courageous struggle Gloria passed away at the Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie on July 17, 2008 in her 49th year. Loving wife and best friend of Raymond; cherished daughter of Arthur and Lorraine Matyjasik; proud mother of Brian Bews, Amy Bews, Sean OGrady and step-mother of Tara OGrady; sadly missed by her brother, David Matyjasik; sisters, Joyce (Cal) Buchannan, Doreen (Ken) Kolacki and Annette (Jim) Richley and the members of the OGrady family; her mother and father-in-law, Jackie and Raymond OGrady; sisters-in-law, Connie (Wayne) Thomson, Gail (David) Ariss and Matthew OGrady; her many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends; predeceased by her brother Larry in 2004. BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Monday 2-4 and 6-9 PM. Vigil Prayers to be said at the Funeral Home on Monday evening at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Right of Committal Service and Interment to follow in St. Michaels Cemetery. If so desired, donations to McMaster Medical Centres Childrens Hospital Unit 3-Z. Gloria always brought a ray of sunshine with her no matter what she was feeling or however bad things were. She is my hero, and she will be dearly missed. My heart is full of wonderful memories of Gloria, and I am proud to say I knew her, and she was a part of my life. God Bless you "G"...have a good one!
