Dear Mary and Family,
I've been thinking about you this past month as our 30 year high school reunion is next Saturday Aug. 2. I thought about all fun and memories of our high school days. I didn't expect your name to come up in the newspaper this week though. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Mark lost his mother "Alice" two years ago so I know what you're going through. I remember all those times getting ready in your basement to go out for the night and your father would just shake his head at us!

Dear Aunt Linda and Cousins,
When Mom called me I was so shocked but I know Uncle John is at peace now. Uncle John has always been one of my favorite Uncles. I am so glad I got to see Uncle John at Mom and Dad's party last year. Anut Linda, I will always have memories of you and Uncle John together. I know Brian will miss golfing with him at the family reunions. I wish I could be there for you all at this difficult time but I'm glad Mom and Dad are down there for you. I know Johnny and the girls are going through a hard time right now too. But remember, Uncle John is at peace now. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love

Dear Aunt Linda and Family,
After just returning from Buffalo to attend a wedding, we received a call from my Mom to inform us of the sad news of Uncle John's death. We are so sorry that we never got the chance to see him again and our hearts and prayers go out to all of you at this very sad time in your lives. We will always remember Uncle John as a very special and caring person and as a very devoted husband and father. May you keep all of your fond memories of him close to heart, as we will, and remember all the special times you hold dear.
With our love and deepest sympathy to you all,
Nancy Lakso Wittmer

Dear Auntie Linda and family,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle John. It was quite a shock. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. As Sandy, Bruce, and Phil wrote of their memories, I remember the family reunion at Uncle Elmer's house (quite some time ago)and how much fun we had. I wish we would have kept them going. It was nice seeing you when Gram passed away. I remember seeing you and Uncle John walking through the door at the funeral home and Uncle John came up to me and gave me the biggest, most comforting hug. I am sure Gram is taking care of her little brother John. I am also sure that Uncle John, Uncle Elmer, and my Dad are in heaven right now remembering the good times and sharing a laugh or two. Uncle John was a very special man and he will be greatly missed.
With love,
Nancy

Dear Aunt Linda and Family,
I am really saddened by the passing of Uncle John. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I can only remember many good times with you and Uncle John. I remember my Dad and I visiting you guys on Davidson Street in Buffalo-and how excited I was when Uncle John gave me some of his old softball jerseys. I remember visiting again with Dad when you lived on Poinciana and Uncle John taking me to the playground to hone my basketball skills-the memories are flashing through my mind as I type. I was so happy and proud when Uncle John showed up on Lackawanna's sidelines when I first started coaching football-funny thing- he ended up holding the downs markers for the game. I couldn't wait til the game was over to talk with him. I think Uncle John and I had a special relationship that I will cherish forever. He holds a very special place in my heart.
I can still hear Uncle Elmer, Uncle John, and Dad laughing whenever they got together. I am sure Mary, Penny, John, and Kim will help you through this difficult time. I am thinking of you guys and will call soon.

Dear Auntie Linda & Family,
I am so sorry to hear the news of Uncle John's passing. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. As Sandy mentioned, I also have fond memories of me and Uncle John talking about sports when you were visiting. Just talked to my Mom about the laughs we had when Uncle John & Uncle Elmer put in our kitchen floor. Remember all the good times and fond memories during this difficult time. My Mom also sends her love and sympathy as well.

Dear Aunt Linda, John, Mary, Penny, Kim, and family: I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Uncle John's passing. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I have fond memories of our families visiting together and my father and Uncle John sitting around the table laughing. I can only hope they are now able to laugh together once again. It was so nice seeing some of you and catching up when my Gram passed away. I only wish we had kept in better contact, but time just seems to get away from everyone. Although I can't be with you in person for the service on the 26th, please know I will be there in thought and prayer. I know you have many, many good memories that will sustain you through this difficult time. He was a wonderful man, and I will remember him fondly. With love and sympathy, Sandy
