Mrs. Heckman and Family,
I know you do not know me, but I would like to offer my sincere condolences to all of you. My Mom was Sally McNally from Roadway and over the many years she worked there I heard the name Floyd Heckamn many many times in her stories. Losing someone you love so much so quickly hurts terribly, I know, but I hope you all find comfort in your friends and family at this difficult time. Take care and know he is with you always.

Wow I don't know what to say. These past few days have been really tough, but I try to think of all the good times I had with Floyd.
I looked at him like a second father, he means so much to me. He took the time to teach me how to drive and always was around for advice or to just to talk.
I will never forget the endless conversations about the Bills, the one fantasy football draft where Floyd picked all Bills players and going with him to get the old Bills seats when they were remodeling the stadium.
I don't think watching a Bills game will ever be the same but I know Floyd will make sure he has the best seat in the house, cheering as loud as ever.

Entire Heckman Family,
There is no doubt that your husband, father, grandfather will be missed by all of you. My Tuesday & Friday mornings will never be the same, he was a kind, gentle man who loved his family. I will always remember how he had to buy "snacks" for all the kids. My sincere condolences to you all.

Floyd
We met 7 years ago.It was a good 7 years. Bills games, free comp meals and gambling at the casino.Christmas and late night snack runs after you already ate your supper.Nobody can fall asleep with there hand in a bag of potato chips like you could and wake up choking like you could. Its nice to know that one man can give so much to everybody as evidenced by the people who come to pay tribute to a fine man.Go Bills and have a great day.Thank You for the pleasure of having known you.As you would say thank you for sharing my day with me.

It’s unbelievable how one man can touch so many lives. I met Floyd three years after the loss of my own father. Not only did I get to marry the love-of-my-life, but I also gained a new father. He was everything a father should and could be. I’ll miss you Dad – Go Bills!!!

Lynn,
You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you. From what I can remember of your dad only meeting him a fews times back in high school...the relationship the two of you shared was an amazing one. Please know that I am thinking about you. The Odd Couples was an interesting group of people of which Floyd was an intricate part. For eleven years our once a month meeeting was a means for our friendship to grow. Listening to Floyd talk about his daughters and grandchildren on the way to the meetings you would become as enthused about their accomplishments as he was. He was infectious with his joy.
I was to blessed know him and call him my friend.
I know his new job will be coaching the Bills. "GO BILLS"

Dear Nona and Family, mere words can not express my emotions. Floyd was like a father to me.We bonded the first time we met. I knew he was a great guy from day one. Floyd was the first patiet that I thought I ever helped. He helped form me into the physician I am today. I am a better person today because of Floyd. He will be missed greatly. Bills games will not be the same but Floyd will be there cheering them on! So we all need to raise our glasses high to toast The #1 Bills Fan Ever! Love Rob , Janice and all our children.

How fortunate our family has been to have known and been loved by such a great man. The depth of his devotion to his family, and "adopted" families, had no boundaries. We will love you and miss you always. Rest in peace Papa.....

Maybe I'm still in Shock, but I still think I'm going to see him at the home opener. It's starting to set in though, and it really sucks! My wife has only seen me cry 3 times in 7 years and 2 of them were this week. I will miss my Uncle Fats more than I ever even thought about. Later old man... I'll miss you SO MUCH !!

I spent many nights working late at SK, and Floyd was one of the main reasons it was bearable. His encouraging and lovable demeanor were always present. Even in the short time i knew him, i could tell his deep love for his family and his Buffalo Bills. He was always in a chipper mood and will remain as a memory with me for a long time

Floyd was like a 2nd father to us. He was "Papa Floyd" to our kids. He was one of a kind! When Nikolas had chocolate stains on his shirt, we knew Papa Floyd picked him up from pre-K that day! We will always remember his charming sarcasm. We will cherish all the memories we shared, especially the Bills games. We love and miss you! Go Bills! Love, Jason, Kris, Hope and Nikolas Balling
