Susan, David, Carol, Mary, and Peter,
My deepest sympathies to you and your family.
Your mother was a wonderful person and I will always remember how much we enjoyed growing up next door to your family. There are so many happy and fun memories of those days. I think that my favorite is the time your mom and my dad werei involved in planting the fake flowers to try to beat each others' gardening skills. We all still laugh about that one.
Love to you all,
Terry Haynes

I have so many wonderful memories of "Mrs. Brezing." I grew up across the street from the Brezings' and Sue and I (the oldest Brezing child) were best friends. Over 50 years later Sue and all the Brezings' still hold a special place in my heart. I was always a welcome addition to their action packed household and Sue and I enjoyed a storybook childhood with her mom always being an active part of it. She was patient, kind, nurturing and a great teacher of right and wrong. I was so fortunate to have her in my young life as a wonderful role model for motherhood. If I were to single out my best memories I guess it would be the Sunday dinners (she was a great cook) ...her roast beef with onions on top that Sue somehow always ate before dinner and the wonderful apple pie... the huge Christmas' she would deliver (I loved raiding Sue's closet after that)... her "before her time" Martha Stewart qualities while decorating the "mansion" on Vanderbilt Ave... and the many, many excursions we took near and far. With 6 children of her own she didn't need a 7th but seemed to always have room for one more. I lost my mom and dad in 1969 and 1976 and every Christmas afterwards Mrs. Brezing would send me a beautiful floral centerpiece. I think she wanted to make sure that I knew she was thinking of me and she knew the loss of my parents I felt during the holidays. She did that for over 20 years. She will always hold a special place in my heart and I know she is smiling down on all us. My love and thoughts are with Sue, David, Stephen (you know they are together), Carol, MaryEllen, and Peter.
