I just heard the news and I wanted to share with Darin's family that he was a great, patient, helpful person. A long time ago he helped to teach my son how to bowl at Southside Lanes. Darin was always so patient and willing to help all of the kids that were there to get help with their bowling. I will always be greatful for his presence in my son's life because my son was able to look up to someone who had talent, loved bowling and could be a good sportsman. So sorry for your loss, I just wanted to express my sympathies and let you know you raised a great son.

Thoughts for Darin

She wrote his name
in the highest heaven
Along came the wind
and blew it away

She wrote it
at the beaches of love
Along came the waves
and washed it away

She prayed for
the power to forget
The Angeles whispered
Why did she pray?

She asked wisdom
for her wisdom
But realized that
wisdom had nothing to say

She uttered his love
in her erotic dreams
To wake up and find him
a star in a play

She tried to erase his picture
from her memory
She found it molded
in her mind like clay

She wrote him love a poem
deep in her heart
And forever his love
in her heart will stay

I remember Darin from the time that I spent coaching him at ECC. He always had a smile for me and we spent many a day at bowling centers both during his collegiate days and many after. As a matter of fact the last time I saw him was at Transit Lanes on a visit back to Buffalo last September and as always he made me laugh and left me smiling. Darin, you were my friend and I'm sure that you have found peace. Tell Kerm that I say hi when when you meet up with him in Heaven. I will never forget you as you have left a wonderful impact on my life.

to all who loved and shared the life of our lost companion, friend, brother and son, the fact remains that Darin will never truely be gone for he lives in us all, there won't be a day that goes by that he will be forgotten. His life , style, passion and love for all of his relations will go on to the end of days. In life he climbed to the top of the mountain of his choice with no regrets, fear or sway his character was never flawed or untrue. There won't be a day the goes by that I could wish that I called him out of the bullpen and have him by my side. There was only one, side by side in life and death always brothers always got your back. Watch over us my bro ,keep us safe and your memories of countless years will fill our hearts. Thank you tesmer familly for raising such a charactor as sound and true as your son and Carrie for your love over the years that kept him together when he fell off path and his head up. He needed all of us as we needed him, he completed our universe.Godspeed on your journey off of your mountain and in to the heavens, live free again my friend

Let each tear that falls be a gentle reminder of what a meaningful difference he made in so many lives - and that is a gift that no loss or sorrow, or time or distance can ever take away.

July 30, 2008

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Its all about the journey
Its the part that counts
Even when he gets there
He may just turn around.

He rides like an eagle, flying
All along the stars
It's all about the journey
Safe now from any harm.

Too soon he left to travel
Beyond where we can see
But its all about the journey
Forever riding free.

No words can say how sorry I am to hear of Darins unfortunate death. I am an old friend and know what a great guy he was. He will be forever missed.
