ANDERSON - H. Edwin Ed July 29, 2008 at his beloved Faun Lake. Cherished husband of Barbara; loving father of Georgia (Edward) OBrien, Katie (Bruce) Spring and Eric (Shara) Anderson; special grandfather of Maxim Anderson, Kyle and Evan OBrien and Crystal and Samantha Spring; brother-in-law of Charles (late Karen) Cheek. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the C.B. BEACH & SON MORTUARY , INC., corner of Routes 33 and 77 in Corfu, NY. Memorial Service Saturday at 11 AM form the Corfu United Presbyterian Church, 63 Allegheny St., Corfu. Memorials suggested to the Ed Anderson Outdoor Education Campership Fund, c/o Barbara Anderson, 5124 Pleasant Valley Road, Box 155, Bliss, NY 14024 for a deserving 6th grader in the Batavia Middle School or the church at PO Box 159, Corfu, NY 14036. Ed was a teacher for the Batavia City Schools for 33 years.

Ed Anderson exemplified the true meaning of friendship. His kindness and generosity enriched our lives in too many ways to count. We will treasure our memories of sharing life with Ed. He was truly our "Santa."

On behalf of the Western Zone of the New York State Retired Teachers' Association (NYSRTA) sympathy and prayers are extended. In Ed's memory, a donation will be made to the Robert DeCormier Fund of NYSRTA, which assists retired educators in need. May he rest in peace!
