Jim, We will miss you dearly...you were always there for all of us...we have such wonderful memories that we will cherish always...you will remain in our hearts all the days of our lives...your sense of humor, even when times were not going well, will remind us that there is always some humor when we hit a bump or curve in the road of life. We know you are at peace now and can finally rest. Just keep an eye on us...and try to catch us when we fall. Love always, Cindi, Kevin, Jenna, Tony, Brenda, Cole, Parker, and Isabel.

I got to know Jim around 1964 when we all hung around the Sobota brothers. I went to school with Ed the youngest brother and Jim ran with Phil the eldest. All of us were interested in cars and we spent a lot of time customizing and modifying our cars engines. Not Jim, he just worked hard and bought the classiest car he could afford. He had a beautiful T-Bird convertible and then a Corvette. But he was still there in the garage working on ours. We had a great time going to clubs together and just hanging around.
When I worked for the Buffalo Evening News, Jim helped me develop a plan for creating a real estate section for the Friday edition of the paper. We only had about 20 % of the ad revenue with in 2 years we had 80 %. Jim's input helped a lot.
We stayed close after he married my sister, even though I wasn't the most pleasant brother in law at the beginning.
Jim never liked working for someone else, maybe because his dad owned a neighborhood store, and Jim inherited the independence gene. He and Cindi worked untold hours when they owned the restaurant to be successful and while it was tiring and hard work Jim told me he loved it. They were successful because they knew it would take hard work so they always worked hard. In both of their businesses they made a great team. I admire them for that.
Every couple has their ups and downs add to that working together 24-7 and most folks give up. Jim and Cindi made it work for over 40 years. Jim really loved Cindi and his Children and their gift the grand children.
Even though we saw little of each other since I moved to Memphis and now Gulf Breeze, FL. I thought of them often and have always admired Jim's courage. He lived in constant pain from the crushed legs he suffered in a car accident when he was a high school senior. I never heard him complain.
When my daughter Tara was married, Jim happened to be standing right behind me. I was crying like a baby out of happiness. Reaching behind me Jim grabbed my hand saying "it's going to be fine, she's Tony's now" . That helped a lot, that was Jim.
I can't say that I will miss Jim, because I will always have many great memories and stories that will keep him close to mind.

Dear Rosel family...I am so sorry for your loss, I will keep you all in my prayers. Although I had not seen Jim in over 20 years I remember spending many a fun nite at Rosels Valley Inn with friends and family. God bless you all.
