To Betty's Family
I am so saddened about Betty. I think about her often, for she was such a nice person. always upbeat, and a smile on her face. I will never forget her and I cherish her friendship. I know she is up in heaven, planning a trip somwhere for boy she was always on the go. I will write often to this guest book.

Whether you called her Bette or Liz you must have know her heart. She was only around the Florida home part of the year but we always picked up where we left off. I watched her grandchildren grow, shared long talks and a few adventures.
Jack, I hope you know you are truly a wonderful man. She knew how lucky she was to have you in her life.
Traci & Kelly, thank you for sharing your mother with all of us. It is obvious you both received her strength. Take care of those grandkids she adored them!

It amazes me how so many people can be best friends with one woman. She truely was that to me. She has touched so many people on so many levels and I only hope that one day I can be as good a person as she was. I love you Bettey Lou and I miss you so much.

Dear Tracie, Kelly, Jack , Honi and family,
Bette was a wonderful person, strong and courageous in how she handled her illness and truly an inspiration to all who knew her.
I was lucky to call her a best friend "back in the day" when we were in drum corp together; the trio: Bette, Chris and Paula!
The travels and adventures we shared were unbeatable thanks to her and I will always treasure those wonderful memories.
We drifted apart after marriage for awhile, but whenever we did connect, it was as if time had never passed.
Her wonderful spirit and thirst for adventure was shared with everyone and we are all better for having had her in our lives.
Jack, you are a wonderful person and I am so happy she had you in her life.
Bette was unique and will never be forgotten.
Love to all...

To the family of Elizabeth Owens.... I had the pleasure of knowing Elizabeth for a few years and in that short amount of time I knew that there was something special about her. She was one of our most reliable guest service ambassadors year in and year out. I get emotional everytime I think about her passing but I also realize that she is in a better place. I just feel blessed that I had the opportunity meet Liz and she will always hold a place in my heart. If there is ever anything that I can do please do not hesistate to call.

Betty I sure will miss you when I come to the Course for my annual Tournament. Also at PBS where you were an asset to the Company. Your sweet smile and great personality was what attracted everyone to you. Your family will always keep you in mind as you were a very special person. I will miss you.

Our love & condolences to Kelly, Traci and the entire family including Jack...Cuz Betty has been Brian's dearest friend since childhood and I have come to love her like a "cousin" since I met her 23 yrs ago...one of the most compassionate, caring people I've ever known, and a spirit of adventure that made her a fearless world traveler, and always up for a visit, she has added so much to the quality of our lives, and I know yours also...she leaves a big void, we are all better for having known and loved her. She faced her final trip with spirit and strength, I feel confident she's comfortable now, waiting until we all meet again. God Bless you in your sorrow, we'll keep you in our prayers.

Although Betty will be missed, may all that knew and loved her find peace and comfort in the fact that she touched everyone she met in different ways. Our best encounter was a Caribbean cruise, 8 couples including Betty & our dear friend Jack. It was inspirational to us to watch as they went from one exilerating adventure to another. It was a wonderful trip and a great time was had by all, but she was just the kind of person that you wanted to go on a trip like this with.
Jack, we wish we could have been there for you. We love you and please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Our deepest sympathy also to Betty's family. She was a remarkable woman and she will be missed.
Lots of love, Sue & Dan

To the family & and friends of Elizabeth Owens --- my Buffalo Bills buddy. I've only known "Liz" (this is how we knew her with the Bills organization) for a short time. From the first day--- the first football game I worked 6 years ago--- we became good friends ---how could we not? What a lovely beautiful person inside and out. We walked back and forth from the parking lot and along the corridors of the stadium laughing and joking along with my sister-in-law, Pam Beers. I'm so sorry for your loss and will miss Liz tremendously ---especially on game days when she's no longer there to brighten our day.

I don't know if I've ever known a more beautiful and beloved human being in my life! She will be sadly missed. My fondest memory was visiting Betty in Florida. Betty was determined to teach me to snorkel knowing that I was scared to put my face in the water. For over an hour, Betty held my hand and told me not to be afraid, as I made numerous attempts to lower myself into the water. Finally, after an hour, I pulled my hand out of hers and waved her off as I took my fist snorkel adventure. I don't know who was more proud and happy, me or Betty! Now Betty is on her biggest adventure. I didn't have to hold her hand and I know she's way too brave to be afraid. Happy sailing Betty, until we meet again!
