My thoughts and prayers are with you, Laurie and Betsy. Your mom was always such a good friend to my mom and such a delightful person to be with. I remember her joking at my wedding that she didn't know which side of the sanctuary to sit on -- because she was related to both the bride and the groom.

Laurie and Gene,
I had the pleasure of working with Ruthie on the Academic Scholarship Committee at Jewish Philanthropies for several years. She was a wonderful lady and a very compassionate person. My deepest sympathy to you and your family during this difficult time.

My memories of trips to Cornell with Ruth and Jerry and Hubert are very special. I'll always remember sharing pictures of Hubie and my trip to Fox Alaska and our day with Mike and Angela. Our community has been enriched by the lives of Ruthie and Jerry. She will be missed by many.
With love and sympathy,
Lillian Gerstman
