In his memory, a donation has been made to the Robert DeCormier Fund of NYSRTA, which assists retired educators in need. May he rest in peace!

Fran had a gentle humor. He was a kind and also strong person! As a member of the greatest generation, He gave 5 years of his life serving his country
He received a battle field commision and was wounded in action while serving with valor on Okinawa in the South Pacific during WW2. Many fond memories dating back to the 1930's. He will be missed!

Fran was a special person and friend to The Tower Family in Tonawanda. He was the last remaining member of "The REEB Club" (spell it backwards!). There were four couples in the famous REEB Club....Ken and Carolyn Tower; Frank and Muriel Chequer; Bob and Flo Markovitz and last but not least, Babe and Ray Foels. Several years after Ray passed away, Fran was joyfully inducted in the fun Reeb Club.......and fit into the Club perfectly!
He and Babe had many good years together.
I personally had "Mr. Murphy" as my history teacher at THS. He was an excellent teacher......and a wonderful person.
My heart goes out to the family. I'm sorry for your loss.
