I'd like to say thankyou to everyone for visiting this site. And sharing your loving memories of my father. He was my best friend, I miss him so very much. Every time I drive my new car, I'm reminded of him. He believed in me when I didn't. Especially when I drove it in traffic for the first time, I was so scared. He told me to relax and to take it easy. I love you dad.

Thanks to all who have signed Basil's guest book. I know he was truly loved by so many people - he certainly was a very special man. I feel so fortunate to have had him in my life. He gave me "extra" family & I love them all. I miss his beautiful face & hearing his voice, but he is not in pain now. Just knowing that gives us all great comfort - he fought so hard & had such a rough time. My heart ached for him through the whole ordeal.

Much thanks to all of you who also appreciated having him in your life, and to all my family & friends for being there for me. God bless you all.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. Basil will be greatly missed. We moved to North Carolina about a year and a half ago, and have made many trips back home to visit since then. Basil's barber shop was the first place we would stop so the kids could get their hair cut. We will never forget the compassion he showed to all. Rest in Peace.

Amy,

I am so sorry for your loss. From our talks and from reading the entries in this guest book, I feel as though I know Basil even though I have never met him. It is obvious that he was an extraordinary man whom you loved very much. I hope that your many wonderful memories of your stepfather put a smile on your face and help to ease your pain. Please know that I am here for you whenever you need to bend an ear.

One of the last true professionals when it came to cutting boys hair. When we were transferred, I used to drive back from Syracuse...just so he could get a haircut from Basil! The first time I took my young son to him..Basil knew what a Princeton was! What a great guy!

Bobby, Joe, I and the boys are so sorry to hear about your father. Please know that we are thinking of you and your family. I came to know you two through the barbershop and I remember the first time we brought Joey in for his first haircut, how your father made the choo-choo sound with the buzzers to stop him from crying!!!!! And then Alex. Now that was another story! He was so good with the kids and I am sure everyone who came in had the same comforting feelings as I did. We are all here for you and know that your Dad is right beside you helping you through this tough time. My god bless you and your family.

Basil has been my barber since I was around 10 years old. 26 years of hair cuts. I looked forward to everyone from the time I was 10 until the present. My sons adore Basil. He was their barber from the first haircuts. 12 years of haircuts for one, 8 years for the other. There are a few people that are crucial in a boys life: His father, his grandfather, his coach, and his barber! We are truly blessed that we have had Basil in our lives for such a long time. I would like to thank him for all the great talks, and advice(especially hunting tips) he has given me over the 26 years I have known him. My sons and I will truely miss him. We Love Ya Basil.
