SPAVENTO - Susan M. (nee Mongera) September 1, 2008, beloved wife of Carl Spavento; devoted mother of Dr. Perry (Diane) Spavento; loving grandmother of Stephanie, Elizabeth, and Kathryn Spavento; dear sister of Paul (Lillian) Mongera Sr., Steven (Dorothy) Mongera Jr., and the late Michael (Thelma) Mongera, Margaret (Louis) Hurlbert, Mary and Ann Mongera, Helen (Nicholas) Michaelson and Katherine (Reid) Stewart; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present on Wednesday from 1-4 and 7-9 PM at (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 5200 Sheridan Dr. (corner of Hopkins Rd.), where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1 PM. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association. Mrs. Spavento enjoyed gardening, antiques and collectibles, but, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and family. Online register book at www.Amigone.com

Uncle Perry, Aunt Diane & Girls,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Aunt Sue. She was such a joy to be around, and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. We were neighbors for 30 years and they don't come any better than Sue. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very caring and loving person. Both my children and I will miss her dearly.
